Police seize 10kgs of heroin

The police spokesperson said that the suspects had kept drugs in packets

Police claimed to have seized around 10 kilogrammes of heroin and arrested two smugglers during checking of vehicles on Peshawar Road. Naseerabad police officials said that the drugs worth millions of rupees were to be supplied to selected buyers in Rawalpindi and Lahore. They added that the consignment was being smuggled from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) for onward delivery, when a police patrol on Peshawar Road stopped the car for routine checking. Upon frisking the motorists, the police found few packets of drugs after which it checked the whole vehicle. To their surprise, the policemen recovered around 10kgs of heroin concealed in secret compartments of the car. Police arrested the suspects including Arif Khan and Muhammad Akmal and impounded the vehicle too. The police spokesperson said that the suspects had kept drugs in packets. Some packets were in their pockets while others were hidden in secret compartments of the vehicle, he added. The police have started investigation from the suspect and expect to reach their network from it.
