Covid-19 claims five more lives in Punjab

The coronavirus disease has claimed five more lives in Punjab while the total number of coronavirus cases in the province reached 96,921 after registration of 89 new cases. According to spokesperson of Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (P&SHD) on Wednesday, a total of 2,204 deaths had been recorded in Punjab so far. Giving details, P&SHD confirmed that 40 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Lahore, three in Gujranwala, 10 in Rawalpindi, five in Sialkot and two in Gujrat. The health department conducted 967,234 tests for Covid-19 in all, while 92,512 confirmed patients recovered in the province.
