Swindler held for fake ‘treasure’ news
Suspect had taken Rs400,000 from a family
LAHORE:
A police team arrested a swindler disguised as a spiritual leader on Wednesday. The arrested suspect had reportedly cheated a family in Raiwind by claiming that a cauldron full gold was hidden underneath the land of the victims’ room. The victims, on the swindler’s claims, started digging the land. The swindler had demanded two goats from the victims in return. During the activity, the victims became suspicious of the man and called police. Police arrested the suspect and lodged investigations. Reportedly, the suspect had earlier taken Rs400,000 from the family for reconciliation among the family members.
