Three labourers perish in roof collapse

Rescue work took six hours

At least three labourers were killed and five others injured in a roof collapse incident in the provincial metropolis on Wednesday.

The case was reported in Al Hafeez Garden in Manwan area at around 1:00 pm. It took six hours to the rescuers to complete the operation.

Reportedly, construction work was underway in a plaza. There were shops on the ground floor and the work was going on to construct another floor for more shops.

The labourers were busy in work when the lanter of the first floor caved in. Resultantly, at least seven labourers were trapped under the debris.

Nearby people called rescue teams. The rescue teams reached the spot on information and launched search and rescue operation.
