22 kanals of state land retrieved

The recovered money was accordingly deposited in public exchequer the same day

Anti-Corruption Establishment Sahiwal retrieved state land measuring 22 kanals and 11 Marla worth Rs44.8 million from illegal occupants in the area of Chak No 66-12 L near Chicha Watni. The land was retrieved from local landlords named Habibullah, Shabir and others and was handed over to revenue authorities. In another action, ACE Gujranwala recovered over Rs8 million from Municipal Committee of Daska and Gujarat against pending building and site conversion fees. The recovered money was accordingly deposited in public exchequer the same day. Meanwhile, another team of ACE Gujranwala sealed three fuel stations during random checking due to less measurement and overcharging issues. Commenting on the activities of Punjab’s premier anti-corruption agency, DG Gohar Nafees said aggressive action was being taken against corrupt elements across Punjab and there was a zero-tolerance policy against corruption.
