Mehiwsh Hayat, in a rather cryptic post, has called out the Indian media for fueling nothing but false news. The Load Wedding star has always presented a very strong stance on Indian Occupied Kashmir and has been a target of merciless trolling from the other side of the border.
However, seems like the actor has found herself in the middle of a rumour that she refuses to address. Mehwish, in a cryptic post, called out the Indian media and 'gutter journalism' as an attempt to silence her voice against the atrocities in Kashmir.
She took to Twitter and shared, "I will not give credence to the unfounded accusations being made about me in some Indian media by issuing a statement.
I will not give credence to the unfounded accusations being made about me in some Indian media by issuing a statement. I know exactly what their agenda is & why they’re doing this. All I will say to them is that this kind of gutter journalism will not shut me up. I will ... 1/2

She went on to add, "I know exactly what their agenda is and why they’re doing this. All I will say to them is that this kind of gutter journalism will not shut me up. I will continue to highlight their atrocities in Kashmir and to call out Bollywood for its hypocrisy."
The Punjab Nahi Jaungi star, without naming names, wittingly concluded, "Oh, by the way, next time if you want to link my name with someone .. may I suggest Leonardo DiCaprio?"

Seems like the actor was responding to news reports of a rumoured affair with a notorious Indian gangster. Mehwish, however, didn't pay much heed to it.
