Woman booked for murder attempt

A woman attempted to kill her husband after intoxicating him in Sanda area on Monday. Police said Aliya was married to victim Saddam.

Reportedly, their relationship had soured for quite some time. On the day of the incident, the couple exchanged hash words over a domestic issue. The wife was so deranged that she reportedly intoxicated him. Afterwards, she physically assaulted him with bricks. The victim sustained injuries and was admitted to Lahore’s Mayo Hospital for treatment.

A police team reached the spot on information, collected forensic evidences from the crime scene, recorded statements of the eyewitnesses. Police said they were investigating the matter further.
