Two suspected robbers killed
At least two suspected robbers were killed in a police encounter in Faisal Town in the wee hours of Sunday. The armed suspects with the intent of robbery had allegedly barged into the house of a money changer. They made Malik Salman hostage on gunpoint. Meanwhile, the daughter of Iqbal, Aliya sent a message on WhatsApp that the suspects had entered her house. Her relatives after reading the message informed the police. A heavy contingent of police reached the house on receiving information of the incident. An encounter occurred between the suspected robbers and police that continued for over half an hour. The encounter concluded after the suspected robbers died due to bullet injuries. Police said they were investigating the matter further.
