18 cops infected with coronavirus in Karachi

Raising the total number of policemen diagnosed with the contagious disease to 3,315 since its outbreak

KARACHI:

Eighteen more police officials in the metropolis have tested positive for Covid-19 during the past two days, stated a police spokesperson on Sunday.

He added that 3,315 policemen had been diagnosed with the contagious disease since its outbreak in the city in March this year. Moreover, he said that 2,999 police officials had recovered from the virus, including 50 officers over the last two days.

Meanwhile, 18 cops have succumbed to the virus to date. As many as 298 policemen remained infected with the virus.
