Plumber slits father’s throat over dispute

70-year-old victim had scolded his son

A plumber killed his father by cutting his throat with a knife due to a domestic dispute.

Police registered a case and arrested the accused along with the murder weapon. He was also remanded in police custody. Tariq Naeem, a resident of 209RB, was scolded by his father over a domestic dispute. He got furious, took a knife and cut the throat of his 70-year-old father Bashir Ahmed.

Ahmed died on the spot.

Upon receiving the report of the murder, DSP Saddar Jamshed Iqbal Nasir Chishti and SHO Saddar Abid Hussain rushed to the spot.

The police took the body into custody and shifted it to a hospital for postmortem.

A case was registered and investigation was started.

In a similar case in July, police claimed to have arrested a man who shot dead his father in Hujra Shah Muqeem town. The police arrested the accused with a weapon.

Muhammad Sakhi, a resident of Hujra Shah Muqeem, had an exchange of harsh words with his young son Ramzan, which intensified. When Sakhi's brother Muhammad Shafi came to know about the situation, he came to his house to resolve the matter between the father and son. Meanwhile, the accused Ramzan shot dead his father.
