BBH suspends four nurses
The management of the Benazir Bhutto General Hospital (BBH) has suspended four charge nurses and issued show-cause notices to several others for staging protests in the hospital. The hospital management had expressed its dissatisfaction over the explanations filed by the four charged nurses including Naseem Akhtar, Syeda Samina, Arfa Shaheen and Halima Saadia, and proceeded to suspend them from duty. Moreover, their case has been referred to the Punjab Nursing director-general for further action. The hospital management had identified the nurses involved in the protest by using recordings of the closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras installed in the hospital for security purposes.
