Cops booked for raiding camp office

They also threatened the detained persons of serious consequences

The Sharafi Goth police registered on Friday a case against multiple police officials, including two DSPs, an SHO and an SIO, of the South district police on the charges of raiding the camp office of a member of the Sindh Bar Council (SBC) and “illegally” detaining some persons. According to the complainant, Advocate Amanullah, police personnel raided and searched his camp office near Dawood Chowrangi, Quaidabad, on August 13 and illegally detained some persons. They also threatened the detained persons of serious consequences. DSP Zahid Hussain, DSP Amir Hameed, Gizri SHO Pervez Mithani and Gizri SIO Inspector Chaudhry Amanat, among others, have been nominated in the case.
