ISLAMABAD:

Industrialists, traders and investors are backbone of economy of the country and Capital Development Authority (CDA) is alive and responsive to all problems of industrialists, traders and investors in Islamabad and is working hard to provide all facilities to them in line with the policy of the government.

CDA Chairman Aamer Ali Ahmed expressed these views during a meeting with delegation of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry at CDA Headquarters on Thursday.

CDA Board members and other senior officers of the authority attended the meeting with the delegation of the business community which was led by ICCI president Muhammad Ahmed.

The traders expressed concern over the dilapidated state of roads and streets in the main commercial areas which was causing encumbrance to people coming for shopping.

CDA chairman said the authority is going to undertake a major project for carpeting of roads in the city. During this road carpeting project priority will be attached to carpeting main Marakiz and other markets of the city.

Simultaneously, CDA is going to re-carpet Kahuta Road with particular objective to facilitate Kahuta Industrial Estate which has unfortunately been neglected for long time by successive CDA administrations.
