Four injured in firing incidents

KARACHI:

Four people were injured in separate firing incidents in the city on Thursday.

Two unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire on two other motorcyclists, leaving them injured near Sheesh Mahal. The injured, identified as Adnan Ansari, 45, and Zubair, 32, were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH).

According to the police, the suspects followed Ansari, who owns a medical store in Liaquatabad, when he was going home and shot him in the shoulder and leg, in what appeared to be an incident motivated by personal enmity. Separately, a man was shot and injured for resisting a robbery bid in Korangi.

The injured, identified as 32-year-old Humayun Khan, was shot in the neck and was said to be in critical condition. The police are investigating the incident. Similarly, Azizur Rehman, 20, was shot for resistance during a robbery attempt and was shifted to ASH for treatment.
