Covid-19 claims one more life in Lahore
The coronavirus pandemic has claimed one more life in the provincial capital, while the total Covid-19 cases in the province exceed 95,740 after registration of 131 new cases.
Spokesperson for the Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (P&SHD) on Wednesday said so far the total deaths recorded were 2,186 altogether.
The P&SHD confirmed that 68 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Lahore, one in Nankana Sahib, three in Sheikhupura, three in Rawalpindi, one in Attock, 20 in Gujranwala, five in Sialkot, one in Narowal, seven in Gujrat, three in Multan and six new virus cases were reported in Faisalabad.
Moreover, three virus cases were reported in Toba Tek Singh, one in Sargodha, one in Bhakkar, two in Bahawalpur, four in Dera Ghazi Khan and one new case of Covid-19 was reported in Muzaffargarh district during the last 24 hours.
The health department conducted 841,229 tests for Covid-19 so far while 90,150 confirmed cases recovered altogether in the province.
The department officials appealed to the citizens to follow government-mandated SOPs for their protection and cover their faces with masks.
