CDA okays plan to build bridge on Kiyani Road

The meeting approved the PC-II for engaging consultancy services to devise a feasibility of parking plazas

ISLAMABAD:

A key body of the apex civic agency of the federal capital on Monday greenlighted a project to build a bridge on Kiyani Road in the city.

Project to hire consultants for reviewing the master plan of the city was also approved.

The Development Working Party (DWP) of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) met at the authority’s headquarters on Monday under chairman Aamer Ali Ahmed.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the ministries of planning, finance, interior and other relevant departments. The meeting reviewed four projects on its agenda. The first was the project concept (PC) II for a project to review the master plan of the federal capital for 20 years from 2020 to 2040.

Another project discussed in the meeting included the PC-I for completing the remaining development work in Sector D-12. This project was also approved by the DWP.

Similarly, the working party discussed and approved the PC-I of a project to build a bridge on Kiyani Road from Quaid-i-Azam University to Bara Kahu. The meeting also approved the PC-II for engaging consultancy services to devise a feasibility and detailed design of parking plazas at different locations in the federal capital.
