Slate negative propaganda against chief minister

A delegation of members of the National Assembly (MNAs), led by Speaker Asad Qaiser, expressed their confidence in the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and condemned organised propaganda against him.

The MNAs from Punjab called on Chief Minister Buzdar on Monday. While speaking on the occasion, the assembly members expressed the view that Buzdar was working per the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The MNAs said Buzdar was a popular public figure and he always gave due importance to the recommendations of the elected representatives in the development projects of Punjab. Chief Minister Buzdar welcomed the visit of members of the National Assembly and all the MNAs were extremely respectable for him and their confidence and trust was an honour for him. “The doors of the Chief Minister's Office are open for all,” the CM said.

He assured the lawmakers that due importance was being given to the opinion of MNAs and MPAs. The CM said the development budget of Punjab has been increased despite difficult circumstances.

“Different development projects will be completed with the consultation of public representatives. The dignity of the assembly members will not be compromised at any point.”

He maintained that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was committed to bring improvement in governance and rectify the mistakes and omissions of the previous governments. “The national resources were misused for self-projection in the past. The PTI government has focused on resolving the basic problems of the masses as we believe in equal development for all areas,” the chief minister said.

Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaisar said the country was moving in the right direction according to the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan. He said the meetings between Punjab government and the members of the National Assembly would continue for enhanced cooperation.
