Dolphin Squad, PRU seize drugs, arms

Dolphin Squad and Police Response Unit (PRU) of Lahore Police in their crackdown against criminals claimed to have seized 27 pistols, five rifles, two pump action guns, 33 magazines, 895 bullets and more than Rs34,000 from them. Dolphins Squad and PRU also seized narcotics, including opium and hashish, and lioquor from the accused.

Dolphins and PRU helped as many as 76 people on different roads of the city. Dolphin Squad and PRU during patrolling in the city checked 3,370 vehicles, more than 44,000 motorcycles and 147,556 persons.

As many as 222 motorcycles and 10 vehicles were impounded and 339 persons detained in different police stations due to incomplete documents whereas legal action was taken against the persons responsible.

As many as 17 motorcycles, a car, 16 mobile phones and more than Rs34,000 were seized from suspected criminals during the action.

They also arrested 166 people for violating the law against one wheeling, five for aerial firing, three for displaying firearms and another 19 accused persons for kite flying. Both Dolphin Squad and PRU also arrested two POs and 46 TOs during the crackdown.
