Another rain spell expected to begin on Aug 21

Karachi is expected to witness heavy and moderate rain, along with lightning, on August 21 and 22, according to a Pakistan Meteorological Department forecast.
The PMD has said that a low-pressure atmospheric system in the Arabian Sea near lower Sindh will cause heavy and moderate rain in some districts of Sindh on August 20 and in different areas of Karachi on August 21 and August 22.
The city will experience light showers today (on Monday), with the current spell of monsoon rains abating. On Sunday, the highest temperature was recorded at 36.4 degrees Celsius and lowest at 29.5 degrees Celsius, while southwestern winds blew at 30km per hour.
