Robberies on the rise in Pindi’s Potohar Town

Street crime in the Potohar Town of the garrison city is on the rise with street criminals robbing residents of their vehicles, cash and other valuables regularly.

On Saturday Race Course police station officials were informed that robbers had snatched a motorcycle, cash, and cellphone from Jamshed.

In a separate incident, two armed motorcyclists snatched Rs45, 000 and a purse from Aisha Gul while she was travelling with her father.

In yet another incident within the jurisdiction of the same police station, Danyal Raza was robbed of Rs75,000 in cash and a mobile phone by armed motorcyclists.

Ambar informed the Wah Cantt police that the armed robbers intercepted her and snatched Rs20,000 from her when she was on her way to see a doctor with her mother.

Some four motorcycles and a car were also stolen within the remints of different police stations in the Potohar Town.

Police were informed by Faisal, Shahid, Hasan, and Khurram that their motorcycles have been stolen in the limits of Westridge, Naseerabad, Civil Lines, and Airport police stations respectively.

Farooq Abbasi informed Wah Cantt police about a car theft incident.

Further, some seven criminal incidents, including those of robbery and mugging were reported from Rawal division on the same day. Three incidents of vehicle theft and four of robbery and snatching were reported by the residents.

Similarly, three motorbikes were lifted in the Saddar division along with three robbery and two mugging cases. A stolen cow was also reported from the same area.
