Sanjay Dutt to finish remaining work for 'Sadak 2' before leaving for treatment
Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt who was recently diagnosed with stage-4 lung cancer will go for his medical treatment after finishing dubbing for Sadak 2, reports Hindustan Times. The Munna Bhai actor had announced that he would be taking a break from work commitments soon.
“He (Dutt) will finish the dubbing work before going on the break. He has a very little work left and he is doing that,” a source close to the film's production was quoted as saying.
Dutt was admitted to Lilavati Hospital last weekend after he complained of breathlessness. He was subsequently discharged earlier this week. During his time at the hospital, he underwent a Covid-19 test that came out negative. A day after coming home, the actor issued a statement on social media requesting his well-wishers to not speculate about his health amid rumours that he has been diagnosed with lung cancer.
While he has yet to publicly adress the diagnosis, his wife, producer Maanayata Dutt on Wednesday described the Bollywood star as a “fighter” who has always emerged winner amid adverse conditions and urged fans to not fall prey to speculations.
“We need all the strength and prayers to overcome this phase. There is a lot that the family has gone through in the past years but I am confident, this too shall pass,” she said. Fans and peers of the actor have also wished him well on social media, expressing their full support.
