The 73rd Independence Day celebrations remained in full swing in Gwadar city on the occasion of August 14. District administration, municipal committee and civil society decorated Gwadar city with colourful green flags which were seen everywhere. People were seen hanging national flags on the roofs of cars, motorbikes, bicycles, shops, educational institutions, government offices and their houses too. Patriotic merchandise was widely available in the markets. Paintings of national flags were seen being painted on bicycles and vehicles. Additionally, the newly constructed Marine Drive on the west coast of the city was also seen decorated with national flags.
