Tenants injured by family of landlord

Police have registered a case against the perpetrators and started investigation

RAWALPINDI:

The tenants of a house were injured by their landlords over the issue of increasing the rent of the premises. The incident in Dhok Imam Din area within the limits of Saddar Police Station, left five people injured. A spokesman for Rescue 1122 said the family of the property owner stormed the tenants’ home over a rent dispute beating everyone present brutally besides stabbing and injuring five people, including three women. The injured included Ayman, 17, Parveen, 35, Mumtaz Bibi, 65, Farooq, 45, and Saddam, 28. Rescue teams rushed to the scene and provided timely medical assistance to all the injured. All the injured were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Rawalpindi for treatment. Police have registered a case against the perpetrators and started investigation.
