I-Day security plan finalised
Lahore police have devised a security plan for Independence Day celebrations. According to the plan, at least 8,000 police officials under the supervision of 84 SHOs, 35 DSPs and six SPs will perform security duties on Friday. Special squads comprising of Dolphin Squad, Police Response Unit and traffic police have been formulated to discourage one-wheeling and hooliganism on the occasion. Chief Traffic Police Officer Hammad Abid also shared the traffic plan for the occasion. He said the CTPL was fully prepared for action against one-wheelers, rash driving and eve teasers. “Over 2,600 wardens under the supervision of 140 inspectors, 11 DSPs and two SPs will be deployed for the purpose,” he highlighted. Rescue 1122 DG Rizwan Naseer also said that all the districts were on high alert.
