Water filtration plant inaugurated

Plant was installed with a cost of Rs1.2 million

BAHAWALPUR:

Bahawalpur Division Commissioner Asif Iqbal Chaudhry inaugurated a water filtration plant at Basti Lal Goth near Civil Hospital on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the water plant was a result of public-private partnership whereby philanthropists helped in the installation of the facility. He expressed gratitude towards Dr Tariq Mehmood Langrial, Aalia Khan, Zayan Khan and Nayil Khan for their contribution in the construction of the water plant.

The commissioner claimed that the water from the filtration plant was found to be better than mineral water. He said that the plant was installed with a cost of Rs1.2 million and more such plants will be installed in underdeveloped areas with the help of philanthropists.
