Minister for Industries and Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal has said the Punjab Skills Development Authority has been made pro-active to bring the technical education institutions under one umbrella.
The minister expressed these views while chairing a meeting at the Civil Secretariat in which matters about preparation of skilled human resource and promotion of technical education courses in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic came under discussion.
The minister, while addressing the participants, said planning would be undertaken for the provision of skilled human resource to small, medium and big industries and special emphasis would also be given to preparing trained human resource according to the daily needs of the society. He said special courses would be chalked out according to the needs of the market to prepared skilled human resource. The minister directed the authorities concerned that the skilled human resource for foreign countries should be recruited and planning be undertaken in this regard by the embassies.
He emphasised that all children should be provided an opportunity to learn the skills without any restrictions in the educational institutions.
