Court disposes of plea against mosque video

Directs police to proceed in accordance with the law

LAHORE:

Additional District and Sessions Judge Atiqur Rehman disposed of a petition seeking registration of a case against the shooting of a music video in Wazir Khan Mosque, directing the SHO of Akbari Gate police station to proceed ahead in accordance with the law.

Petitioner Sardar Farhat Manzoor had filed a petition seeking a case against actors Bilal Saeed, Saba Qamar, producer Ahmad Waqas and officials of the Auqaf Department over the video recording held at the mosque. The judge ordered the SHO to proceed according to law against the accused if some cognisable offence has been committed, and disposed of the petition.
