Sources confirm Sajay Dutt has stage four lung cancer
Actor Sanjay Dutt was recently diagnosed with lung cancer and admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai after complaining about breathing problems, reported Hindustan Times.
Dutt took to Twitter to share a note. “Hi friends, I’m taking a short break from work for some medical treatment. My family and friends are with me and I urge my well wishes not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. With your love and well wishes, I will be back soon," he tweeted.
Last week the actor was also tested for the coronavirus and fortunately tested negative. However, a day after news about his cancer diagnosis broke out, reports on Wednesday confirmed that Dutt, was in fact, suffering from stage four lung cancer, according to Filmfare.
Hospital sources confirmed that when he first came in, his oxygen saturation levels were low. The source claimed, “Fluid had accumulated in his lungs because of which he was having breathing trouble.” The fluid samples were then sent for testing.
Dutt himself took to his Instagram story to reveal that he would be taking a break from work and hoped to return post the treatment.
The 61-year old Panipat actor is allegedly leaving for the US for treatment, according to media reports. Here's hoping he recovers soon.
