Covid-19 claims three more lives in Punjab

With 129 fresh infections, total number of cases across province exceed 94,710

The coronavirus disease has claimed three more lives in Punjab while the number of cases in the province exceeded 94,710 after registration of 129 fresh infections.

According to the spokesperson of Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (P&SHD) on Wednesday, so far the total deaths recorded in the province were more than 2,170.

The P&SHD confirmed that 46 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Lahore, three in Sheikhupura, one in Jhelum, one in Attock, nine in Gujranwala, two in Sialkot, five in Gujrat, one in Hafizabad, three in Mandi Bahauddin, 13 in Multan, two in Khanewal, six in Faisalabad, three in Chiniot, and one in Jhang.

Moreover, five virus cases were reported in Rahim Yar Khan, six in Sargodha, one in Mianwali, one in Khushab, one in Bahawalnagar, three in Bahawalpur, six in Dera Ghazi Khan, one in Rajanpur, one in Layyah, one in Sahiwal and two new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Pakpattan districts during the last 24 hours.

The health department conducted more than 794,560 tests for Covid-19 so far while at least 86,341 confirmed cases recovered altogether in the province.
