Light rain expected in Karachi today

The metropolis witnessed light showers and strong winds on Wednesday, while parts of the city are also expected to see light rain today (Thursday), according to a Pakistan Meteorological Department forecast.

As winds blew at 44 kilometres per hour on Wednesday, 1.5 millimetres (mm) of rain was recorded in Gulistan-e-Johar, the highest in the city on the day. Meanwhile, 0.6mm rain was recorded at Jinnah Terminal and Saadi Town each, followed by 0.5mm in Keamari.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 33 degrees Celsius on the day and minimum at 29 degrees Celsius, with humidity levels remaining between 73 per cent and 82 per cent.
