Cardi B interested in Turkish shows, fans recommend 'Ertugrul', 'Ishq e Mamnu'

The rapper asked for suggestions on her Twitter after finishing a series about Kösem Sultan

It seems like Turkish drama serials are set to conquer the world. After enjoying huge success in Pakistan, they may well be ready to create a storm in America, after popular rapper Cardi B vouched for them and asked her Turkish followers for new suggestions. 

According to her tweet, Cardi has been watching the period drama Kösem Sultan. "Guess I couldn’t sleep right watching how Kösem died... Now, what should I watch next... Turks?" she tweeted.

Next thing you know, her replies were inundated with fans of Turkish dramas dropping down their suggestion - from sappy dramas to action and thrillers. However, one show that cropped up more than others were the smash hits Ishq e Mamnu, popular as Aşk-ı Memnu or Forbidden Love, and Diriliş: Ertuğrul. Both serials have enjoyed immense success in Pakistan during their run. 

"If you're still into the ottoman empire you should watch Dirilis Ertugrul. If you're into some modern drama you should watch Ask-i Memnu," suggested one user. Another chimed in, saying, "Aşk-ı Memnu baby! You’ll not regret it trust me."

"You need to watch this one. It’s called Forbidden Love every Turk has seen this. It’s probably THE most famous series in Turkey," one user said, vouching for  Ishq e Mamnu, while another asked, "How about Resurrection Ertugrul?"
