12 arrested in Chauntra

At least 12 suspects were arrested and several guns and ammunition were recovered during a search operation in the Chauntra area of the city. A police spokesperson said that a joint operation by multiple law enforcement agencies was carried out in the Chacha Chan and Rajar areas of Chuantra in Rawalpindi on Monday. During the search, the elite force, ladies police and members of other law enforcing agencies participated. They arrested 12 suspects, including Syedur Rehman. They also recovered four Kalashnikovs, a 7mm rifle, two 30 bore pistols and a large quantity of ammunition. Chauntra is the area of Rawalpindi where nine members of a family were executed by a rival gang.
