LAHORE:

An additional district and sessions judge has sought reply from the SHO of Akbari Gate police station by Wednesday on a petition seeking registration of a case against singer Bilal Saeed, actor Saba Qamar and officials of Auqaf Department over shooting of a song in Wazir Khan Mosque. Petitioner Sardar Farhat Manzoor Khan contended that the act of recording a song in a mosque was tantamount to disrespecting it, which could not be tolerated. He contended that dancing or shooting the video of a song in a mosque could not be allowed in Muslim countries. He said officials of the Auqaf Department who had allowed the act should also be brought to the book.
