Man accidently shoots father to death
A man accidently killed his father when the latter reportedly intervened to protect his other son from shots fired by him. The incident was reported in the village of 50-3R on Monday.
As per details, Wazir Ali, a resident of village 50 3R on the outskirts of Okara had married his son Arshad Ali to Saima about six months ago.
Police said Arshad's elder brother Khizar Abbas had allegedly kidnapped the accused’s newlywed wife and the accused had registered a kidnapping case against him in Okara Cantt police station.
Khizar Abbas arrived at the family home. Upon seeing him Arshad opened fire on him in a fit of rage. Wazir Ali intercepted in a bid to save his son him from injury, which resulted in his immediate death due to bullet injuries.
The accused managed to escape from the scene of the crime.
Cantt police took the body of the victim into custody and shifted it to a hospital for postmortem examination.
