IMC, CDA team up to clean Pak Secretariat

Around 150 workers from the CDA and 50 workers from the IMC worked over the weekend to uplift the area

In a rare joint operation, teams from the civic authority and the local government banded together to clean up the Pak Secretariat area of the red zone in the federal capital of garbage, dust and wild growth.

Following directions from the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration Chief Commissioner and Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Aamer Ali Ahmed, teams from the CDA and the Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation (IMC) started cleanliness work in the area.

‘Constitutional amendment needed to alter CDA board’

Commencing after office timings on Friday, around 150 workers from the CDA and 50 workers from the IMC worked over the weekend to uplift the area. All blocks of the Secretariat were swept while the trees, hedges and greenbelts were trimmed. The P, Q, R and S blocks were cleaned on Saturday while A, B, C, D and other blocks were cleaned on Sunday.
