‘No comprise on quality flour’
The Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anwarul Haq warned the flour mill owners that there would no comprise on the quality of the daily-use commodity.
The official was chairing a meeting with flour mill owners on Saturday in which District Food Control Officer (DFCO) Mazhar Baloch was also present. While addressing the participants, Haq clarified that there would be legal action against the owners selling substandard flour in the market. He also warned that the mill owners selling the commodity in black and making bogus entries in the registers would also be dealt with iron hands. He expressed that provision of the quality flour to the people at official rates was the priority of the administration.
Further, DFCO told that apart from 100 fair price shops, they have established 36 truck points where people could purchase good quality flour at official rates.
