WKF leader visits injured JI activist

Inquires about health of JI workers injured in grenade attack

World Kashmir Forum chairperson Haji Rafiq Perdesi visited the Aga Khan University Hospital on Saturday to inquire about the health of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) workers injured in a grenade attack earlier this week.

The rally had been organised by JI in support of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) to mark Youm-e-Istehsal on Wednesday. The grenade attack had left at least 39 rally participants injured, with one of them later succumbing to his injuries.

Perdesi praised the courage of the injured workers and prayed for their early recovery.

He further stated that such attacks could never be successful. "The Indian government and its operatives should rest assured that no such terrorist activities can suppress the voice of IIOJK. India will have to accord Kashmiris their rights," he asserted.
