Accused used to physically torture wife along with his brothers

FAISALABAD:

A man along with his brothers poisoned his wife to death due to a domestic dispute.

Police handed over the body to her heirs after postmortem and registered a case under murder provisions.

Rafaqat Ali, a resident of Chak No 275 GB Pansara, told the police that his sister Shabana Bibi had recently got married to Shafaqat Ali, a resident of Chak No 421 GB, who was subjected to violence due to daily domestic disputes.

“On Friday, Shafaqat Ali along with his brothers Liaquat and Asif tortured and poisoned my sister to death,” said Rafaqat.

She was shifted to Tandlianwala Hospital after her condition deteriorated but she could not survive.

The Tarkhani Police registered a case against the three brothers under Section 302/34 TP and started raids to arrest them.

Meanwhile, bodies of two unidentified persons were found in the Factory area and the Civil Line area.

Police took the bodies into their custody and shifted them to the hospital for post mortem examination to ascertain the cause of their deaths.

As per details, the corpse of an unidentified 40-year-old man was found from the Novelty Bridge area and a 30-year-old man was found dead in front of the Passport Office in the Civil Line area.

Passersby spotted had spotted both bodies and had informed the police.

Police reached the spot on information and took the two bodies into their custody.

Sources said, So far the families of the deceased have not been found and the police is on the look out for more evidence to identify the victims.
