Sindh sees 487 new Covid-19 cases

The condition of 262 patients was said to be critical, with 50 of them on ventilators

At least 487 fresh coronavirus cases were reported overnight in the province, which took Sindh’s virus tally to date to 123,246, said Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Friday. Meanwhile, the virus claimed nine more lives, pushing the death toll to 2,259. According to the CM, 12,420 samples were tested for the virus on the day, of which 487 tested positive for coronavirus. Moreover, he said, 447 patients recuperated overnight, lifting the number of recovered patients to 114,965 so far. He further claimed that 6,022 people were currently under treatment, of whom 5,644 were in home isolation, nine were quarantined at isolation centres and 369 were being treated at different hospitals. The condition of 262 patients was said to be critical, with 50 of them on ventilators.
