Lashari to help Pindi enhance culture
To highlight the culture and heritage of Rawalpindi, the city will seek the help Kamran Lashari in a partnership between the city’s development authority and the UN.
A meeting in this regard was held at the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) on Wednesday. It was attended by Lahore Walled City Director General Kamran Lashari, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Urban Platform Head Dr Naveed Iftikhar and others.
The RDA chief said that a partnership with UNDP will help promote the city’s cultural heritage, improve the standard of living for residents of Raja Bazaar, the traffic situation there and increase tourism.
The RDA official further said that tourism and cultural significance of the city will be enhanced per the advice and experience of Lashari.
