‘Drug peddler’ killed in alleged encounter

An alleged drug peddler was killed in a police encounter in New Karachi Industrial Area on Wednesday.

According to SHO Younus Khattak, three suspects suddenly opened fire when they saw the police, with one of them killed as the law enforcers retaliated. He stated that the police seized a pistol and ammunition as well as Ice and heroin from his possession.

Meanwhile, police sources claimed that a police officer, Shams, had gone alone to a drug den and when the suspects opened fire at him, he fired back and killed one of them.
