Two drug peddlers sent on physical remand

A local court handed over on Tuesday two men accused of drug peddling to Customs officials on a two-day physical remand.

Customs officials presented the accused, Sanaullah and Imran Jan, before the West judicial magistrate at Karachi City Court.

They told the court that 1.8 kilogrammes of Ice was found in the possession of the accused when they were arrested from a passenger bus during checking in Mochko. They added that the substance was worth around Rs18 million.

The accused have revealed during interrogation that they were promised Rs5,000 in return for smuggling the drugs, the officials said, moving the court to send them on a physical remand .

At this, the court sent the accused on a two-day physical remand.
