Drugs, liquor caches recovered during Eid
Police in the federal capital have arrested as many as 13 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered cash, drugs and weapons from their possession, a police spokesperson said on Monday.
Following directions of Islamabad Police Inspector General Aamir Zulfiqar Khan and DIG-Operations Waqaruddin Syed, all officials of the Islamabad Police have accelerated their efforts to curb activities of anti-social elements and drug pushers.
SP Rural-Zone Farooq Amjad Butar constituted a police team under the supervision of DSP Rukhsar Mehdi and Including Sihala SHO Muhammad Bashir along with others arrested a member of a diesel and petrol stealing gang identified as Azhar Mehmood and recovered cash worth Rs0.7 million from him.

A case has been registered against him and further investigations are underway.
Furthermore, the Kohsar police arrested four suspects, identified as Murad Masih, Asad Ashiq, Arif Saleem, and Zahid Saleem and recovered 240 litres of alcohol, 40 litres of beer, and 11 bottles of wine from their possession.
Homicide Units of the Industrial Area Circle recovered a 30 bore pistol from the possession of suspect Tayyeb Hafez, who is in custody.
The Shahzad Town police arrested Yousaf and recovered a 30 bore pistol from him.
Similarly, the Lohi Bher police arrested Noor Gul and Javed Iqbal and recovered 240 grammes of hashish and 40 grammes of ice (crystal methamphetamines) from their possession.
Secretariat police apprehended Haider Ali and recovered 20 litres of alcohol from him. The Koral police arrested Nayyer Iqbal and recovered 1,43 kilogrammes of hashish from him.

Separately, during special checking across the city, the police nabbed two proclaimed offenders.
Cases have been registered against these suspects while further investigations are underway against them.
DIG Syed has appreciated the performance of police and directed them to maintain high vigilance and monitoring against those involved in anti-social activities.
