Child dies after falling off rooftop

A child was killed after he fell from the rooftop of a house in Younusabad, Hawkes Bay, on Friday. The deceased, 12-year-old Wajid, was taken to Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital for medico-legal formalities. According to his family, he had been playing on the rooftop when he fell and died on the spot. While the police believe the incident to be an accident, further investigation is under way.
