489 more Covid-19 infections emerge in Sindh

As many as 489 new coronavirus cases have emerged in Sindh, while 11 more patients lost their lives to the contagious disease, revealed Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Friday.

In a statement, the CM said that the province’s virus tally had resultantly risen to 121,039 after 11,555 more samples were tested on the day, while the death toll reached 2,220 in Sindh.

So far, 760,036 samples have been tested in the province, with the detection rate on the day dropping to four per cent.

Furthermore, the CM said that 505 more patients had recuperated from the disease, bringing Sindh’s recoveries so far to 110,738.

According to Shah, 8,081 patients are currently under treatment, of which 7,593 are in home isolation, 12 admitted in isolation centres and 476 admitted at different hospitals. He added that 385 patients were in critical condition, with 65 of them on ventilators.
