As many as 20 more people have died due to Covid-19, revealed Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Thursday. As a result, he said, Sindh’s death toll for the pandemic had risen to 2,209, while 498 freshly detected cases took the virus tally to 120,896 in the province. He added that 689 more people had also recuperated from the contagious disease, raising the number of recoveries to 110,233 so far. According to the CM, 10,842 samples had been tested for the virus on the day, with a five per cent detection rate. He added that 8,454 patients were currently under treatment, with 7,954 in home isolation, 12 at isolation centres and 488 admitted to various hospitals.
