Rally staged against water shortage

Landlords and farmers protested and staged rally from Tamboo to Dera Murad Jamali on Thursday against shortage of water in the sub-Balan branch of Patt Feeder Canal. The protesters chanted slogans against water scarcity in Tamboo and blocked the traffic at DMJ and Manjho Shori highway. Maulana Abdul Majeed Jattak, Mir Rustam Rind, Haji Rehmatullah Rind, Mohammad Ali Jattak, Wadera Nasrullah Nechari and others addressed the protesters. “Inequitable distribution of water in Patt Feeder Canal and its tributaries has brought the Green Belt to the brink of destruction,” the protesters said as they demanded to hand over the Patt Feeder Canal to Frontier Corps Balochistan. “Negligence political envelopment has drowned the fleet of Patt Feeder Canal, Balan Branch and other branches.”
