‘Covid death rate down by 80%’

Punjab Senior Minister Abdul Aleem Khan on Thursday highlighted that the death rate of coronavirus victims had dropped by 80%. He appealed to the people to strictly follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) on Eidul Azha to stay protected from the virus. He expressed these views while talking to a delegation of party workers from the NA-129 constituency. Aleem Khan further said that coronavirus onset has reduced due to the wise policies of Prime Minister Imran Khan. The senior minister stressed that it is the responsibility of every individual to follow SOPs on Eidul Azha to protect themselves and others from Covid-19 infection. “In case of irresponsible attitude by citizens, a serious situation could emerge,” he warned. The government had imposed a soft lockdown keeping in view the safety and welfare of the people, he added. Moreover, the minister emphasised that it is important to take care of others and adopt simplicity on the occasion of Eidul Azha. Aleem said the situation concerning coronavirus in Pakistan is far better compared to that of other countries.
