The Peshawar district administration on Tuesday banned aerial firing, flying quadcopters (drones), pigeons, kites, use of laser lights at any shop or advertisement area around the Bacha Khan International Airport (BKIA) to prevent any accidents involving planes. Peshawar Commissioner imposed the ban in the Pishtakhara, Landi Akhoon Muhammad, Umer Gul Road, Nawakaley, Shaheedabad, Baragate, Custom Chowk, Abdara Road and Tehkal areas of the city. In a notification issued on Tuesday, the commissioner said that anyone found violating the ban will be arrested. The order will remain in effect for 30 days unless modified or withdrawn.
