Man held for ‘harrassing, blackmailing’

Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) cybercrime cell carried out a raid in Nazimabad on Tuesday and arrested a man for allegedly blackmailing and harassing a woman. According to FIA officials, inappropriate pictures of the woman were found in mobile phones, laptop and memory cards confiscated from the arrested man’s possession. They said that the man had been arrested earlier too and was out on bail, adding that he used fake IDs to post the woman’s inappropriate pictures, her family’s pictures and their contact details on social media and had been blackmailing them. He put up a pretense of loving her to gain her trust and they were engaged before he began blackmailing her, the officials said. They added that the woman had attempted suicide multiple times due to blackmailing.
